MEET AMY
Born & Raised in Cape Cod Massachusetts
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Ever since I was a kid, I was bringing home injured or stray animals to care for them. Growing up surrounded by animals taught me compassion, responsibility, and the importance of giving back to the creatures who give us so much.
Im a big believer in adoption- my two amazing dogs, Ava and Nacho, are both rescues and truly my world. Over the years Ive also fostered and helped find loving homes for many other dogs, which has been incredibly rewarding.
In 2010 I followed my passion and founded Throw Me A Bone, a positive reinforcement-based dog walking & daycare company. I'm fully licensed and insured, and I only use gentle science backed methods to build trust and lasting relationships between pets and their people.
When I'm not working with animals, you can usually find me outdoors- gardening, staying active, or behind the camera capturing life's little moments. I also love traveling with my husband of 14 years and our pups in our adventure van, exploring new places and making memories with friends and family.

Typical day
Every day is an adventure! Your pup will enjoy a mix of off-leash hikes, on-leash neighborhood walks, and plenty of time for socialization with other friendly dogs. We reinforce basic obedience and good manners throughout the day, using positive reinforcement (and plenty of treats!) After playtime, its time to relax with a cozy nap break so your dog comes home happy, tired and well-balanced.
Training & care
With over a decade of hands- on experience, I offer gentle, effective support for your dogs basic training, obedience, manners and confidence-building- all using positive reinforcement methods your dog will love.
I also provide bath time, ear cleaning, nail trims, and chauffeur services to vet or grooming appointments, as well as overnight boarding in my home. Available exclusively for current clients, offering your dog a safe familiar place to stay.
